A Surprise Wedding Proposal in Iceland | Washington DC Wedding Photography

While I and my wife were traveling in Iceland last month, we made a spontaneous stop at Skogafoss — one of the biggest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland (and that’s saying a lot given that there are so many beautiful waterfalls in Iceland). We didn’t really plan to stop here as there are so many other places on our itinerary and we already spent a night here during our trip to Iceland almost two years ago. Nonetheless, my wife convinced me to make a quick stop here and little did I know that I would be capturing these very special moments for this lovely couple from Brooklyn, New York.

I was just finishing taking a long exposure in the middle of the stream and I noticed something very special happening. I barely had enough time to take my waders off and my instinct told me that I had to capture these very beautiful moments! Congrats Ali and Darryl!
